Do Not Overspend - Visitor's Scrapbooking Tip

The best scrapbooking tip I have learned since beginning to scrapbook over 3 years ago is to not overspend! Scrapbook embellishments, paper, and accessories can get very expensive. The best thing to do is to decide on a theme beforehand and only buy what you know you are going to need. Also, do not overlook any items you may have lying around your house already.
Fion: Yes, scrapbooking can get expensive quickly if we don't watch what we buy! Your suggestion of deciding on a theme beforehand can be useful in controlling impulsive buys. I guess most scrapbookers will have the experience of buying stuff that we don't need or probably forgotten about. So going shopping with a list can be practical and limit buying, and cut away buyer's remorse too!
Another tip: Better organization of your scrapbook supplies can help you to maximize usage of your supplies. As the saying goes, "Out of sight, out of mind". By knowing exactly what stuff you have increases the chance that you'll be using them.
