Don't Stress It - Visitor's Scrapbooking Tip

by Sam
(Indiana, USA)

Scrapbooking Tip: Your scrapbook will be pretty and awesome no matter what, simply because you're filling it with hopefully happy memories and photos. Don't worry if an aspect of it, like the background or color scheme or fancy edging, doesn't come out in the exact way you had it pictured in your mind. Your scrapbook will still look great, even if it isn't done in a perfectionistic manner.

Fion: Sam, thanks for your tip and it's well said. Many times as scrapbookers, we might get so caught up with the "appearance" of our layouts that we let it overshadow the main reason we scrapbook in the first place - to preserve our favorite memories and to share our stories. It's so easy to look over a scrapbook page and critic it and attempt to make it perfect or exactly the way we want it to be.

Instead of an hour, we poured six hours or even a few days to complete one layout. For me, I usually don't agonize over a layout, I tend to move on to create the next one.

It's also quite true that our loved ones will be amazed and pleased with whatever we've created even though it didn't pass with flying colors in our own minds.

So whenever we look at our scrapbook pages, why not tell yourself that it's all good and there's always the next one we can improve on? :)
