I like this video because Erin talks about how this scrapbook album might not have the "latest and greatest techniques, latest and greatest papers", and yet it's probably her dearest album. Simply because a load of meaning and thought went into the creation of this simple album. This video serves as a lesson to us about what's really important about scrapbooking. Because in the long run, it's about preserving those moments and memories that hold the greatest meaning for us. The rest are just "extra stuff"... In this modern day of scrapbooking, sometimes there's simply too much "clutter". You might walk in and out of a scrapbook store and not buy a single thing because it's too overwhelming. Rows and rows of scrapbooking supplies greet you and yet you lose focus. There might even be times when you're more set on creating a beautiful layout using the latest scrapbooking tool and embellishments, while your photos and memories take a back seat.... Before we get too swept up further by all the gorgeous scrapbooking supplies, let's stop for a moment and get in touch with the reason we first embarked on our scrapbooking journey. Let this video remind us that the reason we got started in scrapbooking is about putting our heartfelt thoughts into preserving memories that's worth keeping. To view, hit the Play button on the player control. If you have dial-up or experience slow Internet connection, start the video and then press the Pause button. Let the video load all the way and then watch it smoothly. Enjoy!
