Scrapbooking Layout - La Quinceañera
A quinceañera is a formal occasion, and I was privileged that my friend asked me to be her escort. Since the event was formal, the scrapbook layout should be equally just.
This layout was inspired mostly by the fact that formal occasions and especially their invitations tend to use a lot of straight lines, and matted borders. Hence, it carries over to my layout. Also, since the colors of my friend's quinceañera were black, red, and white, I chose to do my page in these subsequent colors.
To create uniformity in my design, I matted each picture identically, drawing attention to my main photograph by sizing it larger than the other pictures. I also used small, pre-tied red ribbons at the corner for a mark of consistency in the page.
Other materials used in this layout include run-of-the-mill scrapbook paper in patterns and solid colors, buttons, punch-out embellishments, and cord (it feels something like a shoe lace).
Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper, Buttons, and Cord: Wal-Mart; Embellishments, Ribbons, and Solid-Colored Paper: Previously Owned (Too old to tell where it came from).
