Digital Scrapbooking Layout - My Place

As the title implies, this page was inspired by a place I like to call my own... Even if it's not. I was taking pictures of the playground equipment at the park near my house, practicing with aperture setting on my camera. Out of the approximately fifty thousand pictures I took (not literally), this was one of my favorites, and of my favorite piece of play equipment since I can remember.

As for the colors, the green, white and black striped paper seemed the best fit as it was just about as colorful as I ever get...

I went a little overboard with the overlays, masks, and "flourishes" in this layout but I really do love those things. I changed their colors, and changed their opacities to make them more or less visible on the page, and to add "texture."

Lastly, I must give credit to the book Paper + Pixels Scrapbook Layouts by May Flaum and Audrey Neal for the idea to crop my picture into different-sized bars.

Cool Scrapbook Layout
by: Fion

Hi Lora, thanks for another great digital scrapbook layout! It's a cool-looking page with you creating different-sized bars for the photo and using the black, white and green color scheme. It's fun seeing you experimenting with new digital techniques. My sister saw your page and went, "It's beautiful!"
