Save Your Greeting Cards - Visitor's Scrapbooking Tip

by Christina McVea
(United States)

Everyone gets greeting cards over the year. I save the best ones and have used them as a resource for my scrapbooks. The beautiful sayings can be used as "quotes" on a page. Many have beautiful pictures and even bows on them that add to any scrapbook page after you crop them.

Fion: Thanks Christina for your tip! Recycling greeting cards can be a useful resource. One thing to take note of is whether the card is acid-free. If it's not, you might want to avoid letting it get into contact with your photos to prevent the acid from the card to migrate to your photos. Alternatively, you can use a de-acidifying spray such as Archival Mist by EK Success to treat your greeting cards before using them in your scrapbooks.
