10 Easy Tips on Using
Scrapbook Stickers

Scrapbook stickers can work marvels on your pages. Are you on a budget and yet want a way to "dress up" your scrapbooking layouts inexpensively?

Acid-free stickers will do the job fabulously.

Besides being decorative, scrapbooking stickers can play a sensational design role to reinforce your page theme, fill in empty spaces, and complement your page's color scheme.

To save money and still add an eye-catching embellishment to your scrapbooking page, simply consider using these basic tools to create your layouts: cardstocks, computer fonts, journaling pens and stickers.

Below are 10 easy tips on using stickers to show you how scrapbook stickers can act as effective embellishments.

Quick Tips on Using Scrapbook Stickers

Sticker Tip 1:
Look at the colors appearing in your photos. Pick out stickers that match the colors in the photos to act as a page accent.

Sticker Tip 2:
Use stickers that match your theme. Doing a page about your daughter's ballet performance? Stick on some little tutu stickers to your page to highlight your dance theme. A page about your kid's favorite Disney characters? You'll know what to do. Just paste on his favorite Disney character stickers! :)

Sticker Tip 3:
OK, this rule will seem to conflict with Tip 2 but not really. You're mixing theme stickers and not page themes here. Experiment with mixing and matching different theme stickers on the same page. The combination might add a really fun contrast and creative twist to your pages.

Sticker Tip 3:
Don't be afraid to trim your scrapbook stickers. If the stickers are too large for your layout and you don't want them to overshadow the rest of your page, trim the stickers down to your desired sizes.

Sticker Tip 5:
Use border stickers to create an interesting border around your page or as a frame for your photo. Cut down those border stickers into the appropriate lengths and add them to your pages.

Sticker Tip 6:
Cut up square stickers diagonally and use them as photo corners! These sticker photo corners will immediately make your photos stand out even more.

Sticker Tip 7:
Add scrapbook stickers to accessorize your handmade embellishments. Many scrapbookers love to use flower accents on their pages. So why not add a circle sticker as the flower center to your hand-cut flower? Certainly make the flowers more interesting.

Sticker Tip 8:
Need a bigger piece of embellishment? Create a sticker collage to act as a bigger piece of page accent. If you can create a photo collage, why not create a sticker collage too? It can help to balance off a large photo by placing the sticker collage next to it.

Sticker Tip 9:
Stickers are getting more innovative. There's some where you can layer one sticker on top of another to create a completely new look. It goes along the concept of A+B+C=D. For example, sticker pieces of a t-shirt, a romper, a mini duckie when layered, became a romper outfit with a duckie print on it! Of course you can choose to use the sticker pieces separately or to layer them to create a more textured and delightful creation.

Sticker Tip 10:
Create page accents using sticker phrases and expressions. Witty scrapbooking stickers have a way of instantly spicing up your page by adding a light-hearted and fun approach to your pages.

As you can see, there's really many ways to playing with scrapbooking stickers on your layouts. Be imaginative and have fun sticking it on with scrapbook stickers!
