Scrapbooking Idea No. 32

A Goal Achieved

Scrapbooking Idea 032

"A Goal Achieved" is a scrapbooking idea that lets you take stock of your goals. Have you set goals and achieved some of them? This layout is to choose one goal you've achieved this year and scrapbook about it.

Someone once says that writing your goal down on paper/computer is your first step towards achieving it. This layout will show that you're a goal-setting person and take action to accomplish what you've set out to do. Years later, this layout will be a reminder that once, you were brave enough to set out a goal and go about making it happened. Scrapbooking about it will also boost your confidence in your ability to complete what you've set out to achieve for yourself. Whether it's about starting your salsa dancing lessons, getting your wardrobe organized or completing a new course, scrapbook it!

For me, one of my goals for 2009 is to try something new. Last year, a friend inspired me and I thought about going for a 5km run in 2009. But I wasn't confident in doing it. Because for many years, I've labeled myself as being terrible at running. I dreaded running since I was a teenager. I've never run for more than 2.4km. I could walk for a long time but running was another matter altogether.

Still, beginning in January, I just started on my training anyhow. I would go for my weekly or biweekly run early in the morning on my own to slowly build up my stamina. But each time, I probably didn't run for more than 2.4km. In July, along with my two good friends, I went for my run and I completed it! Though I ran and stopped, ran and stopped but I made it to the finishing line and that's quite an accomplishment to me! Mine was certainly no glorious timing, but I was more than happy. :-)

Review your goals and see if you've achieved any of them this year, then create a scrapbook page about it. Enjoy!
