The Scrapbooking Poem by Fion Lim
Life is made up of countless moments, Small and big, Extraordinary and everyday mundane stuff. Some vividly captured on photos, Some fluttered away uncaught, Yet linger in the mind. Grab those that matter and inspire your soul, Gather these quickly into a scrapbook album, Before they are forgotten and gone. Let your album hold the bits and pieces of your many stories, Building up a treasured trove of priceless memories, To be passed on from one generation to the next. Scrapbook those memories that tug at your heartstrings, Let each page be a creative process and pleasurable fun, Where you joyously cast away woes and indulge in scrapbooking. Let it not be a chore or a dread, Reducing you to tears for fear of not keeping up, Where you fuss about the imperfections of it all. Breathe deeply and remind yourself, Your true reasons for scrapping in the beginning, It is all about preserving memories that speak to you. Your creativity flair is but the dressing up of your stories, Keep your stories true and heartfelt, The perfect dressing up for your scrapbook pages.
You have your own stories to tell, Your kids and family will love you for putting them down, Let them know what really matter to you and your heart. Scrapbooking is but creating stories through your own voice.
