Sewing Machines Are A Scrapper's Best Friend - Visitor's Scrapbooking Tip

Scrapbooking Tip: My best scrap booking tip is that a sewing machine can be a scrapper's best friend. You can use it to sew buttons on paper, embellish the edges of your pages with fancy stitches and more. It is so fast and so easy you will fall in love! Plus all the different threads that are out right now will make your pages stand out!
Another great thing about it is that you sew on your buttons or cardstock and like magic they are in place and there to stay. You don’t have to wait for glue to dry or worry about anything slipping and sliding out of place.
Fion: Thanks Brandy for sharing your favorite scrapbook tip! I love the look of stitching on scrapbook layouts. I don't have a sewing machine so I've never tried sewing on my layouts before, but it's definitely something I'd love to try. To compensate for not having a sewing machine, I would use a black pen or white pen to doodle "faux stitches". Of course it doesn't look as fabulous as real stitching but still, it does help to spice up things a little! :)
Oh I've seen those very cute hand-held size sewing machines designed for scrapbooking. But those reviews didn't seem too good as others have difficulty getting straight lines or find it difficult to sew through. So I would suggest that until they could get this little beauties to work properly, the traditional sewing machine is still more reliable.
But if you can't get your hands on a sewing machines, and didn't want drawn "faux stitches", why not use a stitching template to help you get perfect stitches for your pages? Check out these wonderful templates from Bazzill Basics.
