The Way I Create My Pages - Visitor's Scrapbook Tip

by Alisha
(Washington, D.C., USA)

I know that everybody has their own methodology when it comes to creating pages, but here's mine.

First, I gather the pictures I'd like to use on a page and think of a title. I choose a primary color I'd like to use on that page and go through my scrapbooking papers until I find the perfect one. Going off of that one I pick three or four more papers to use for accents, mats, etc.

I then spread everything out on the table and move it around until I'm satisfied with the way it all looks. I never, ever tape anything down until I know where it's all going to go.

Method of Creating Pages
by: Fion

Hi Alisha, thanks for sharing your methodology of creating a scrapbook page. As you've pointed out, people have different methods. I guess the best way is what works best for each individual.

For me, I have a similar method to yours. But I do find it much easier and time-saving to use scrapbook sketches. I have a "map" to follow along and don't have to spend time working out an arrangement. This way, I know how many different papers I need and so on and set off to create right away. Using sketches is a great way to create more pages quickly especially if you have limited time. :-)
