Use Larger Photos as Backgrounds - Visitor's Scrapbooking Tip

by Dustin
(Kennewick, Washington, USA)

Scrapbooking Tip: Use larger photos as backgrounds for smaller photos. It attracts attention and looks great. The smaller the photos you have on the larger photo, the nicer it looks.

You can even use parts of smaller photos to replace parts on the larger photos. For instance giving one person the head of another. It's funny and it gives you something to talk about when you are showing it off.

Fion: That's quite a creative idea! Thanks Dustin for your scrapbook tip. One idea I've tried with good effect is to turn a photo into black and white, and in large size. Then I used it as a background for my layout. This background photo could be highlighting the place of an event. Then on top of this background photo, I put up two rows of smaller square colored-photos. I like how the background photo adds a subtle decorative element and also shows off part of the story that I'm sharing through the layout.
