That’s the thing with living with little kids. Now and then, unexpected answers will sprout from their little mouths. I’ve had the same experience with my almost 4-year-old son.
I wish I’ve recorded down all those funnies he has shared with me over the past year but I didn’t. There’s a few recent ones that I remember though.
Last week, I was sitting on my sofa reading when he came to me and show me a piece of paper which he has written some letters on it. while I was looking over his handwritten alphabet, he pointed out to me that the R was looking a bit funny. It looked more like a B. He remarked, “R’s leg is a bit itchy. So he’s bending his leg and scratching it.”
I laughed! I mean that’s quite a creative explanation as to why a R is looking like a B.
Few days ago, I was trying to sing his preschool song. I didn’t remember the lyrics and I made up the words as I went along. After I stopped, he thoughtfully commented, “Hmm… I think it’s a bit funny. You should learn to sing it today.”
Yesterday, at the request of my good friend and her sister, I asked what my little boy would like for his upcoming birthday. I was supposed to give him two options: Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and George toy figurines or books. His first reaction was that he wanted the toy figurines.
Later when he was playing, I asked, “Why do you want to have Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and George when you hardly play with your Peppa Pig and Suzy Sheep?”
He thought for a moment and replied, “Because Peppa needs parents!” :)
