Our National Library Board has little buses equipped with book lending facilities. These buses called the Mini Molly Mobile Library Bus will visit some preschools so preschoolers can go up to the buses, browse through books and borrow books from the library.
My preschooler’s school has tied up with National Library Board for these buses to come visit their preschool once a month for this year. Last year, Mini Molly came about three times. This year, with its heightened frequency, I feel that it’ll so convenient for the little kids to borrow books home to read.
Last month, my boy borrowed three books. He came home and told me, “Mommy, I climbed up the little ladder to take a book and I slowly climb down. Then I climbed up again to take another book and I come down again.” When he described it to me, he coupled his sentences with hand gestures too. He appeared pleased with himself for finding his own books to borrow.
And I have to say, he did borrow some very interesting books back! Friends by Eric Carle has beautiful illustrations. Mr. Men Little Miss Amazing Adventures is a new book with over 40 lift up flaps for the child to explore and it’s such a colorful book.
I shall see what he will borrow today. :)
On a side note, I’ll be updating some pages on this website. Some of my pages included links to scrapbooking supplies that have been discontinued. So I’ll work through these pages and update the links with new scrapbook supplies. It’ll probably take a week or two to get them done. I want to get these pages updated soon!
Last week, I’ve spent time changing the format of the YouTube videos that’s embedded on my video pages. I’ve been unaware for so long that some of these videos are not being shown properly on certain mobile devices. The videos didn’t stretch themselves out to fit the width of the page layout. Instead, a portion of a few videos were cut off.
It took me awhile to figure out how to fix the issue but I managed to solve it. If you have any problems viewing the videos on my website, please drop me a comment so I can do something about it. :)
