My Project Life Scrapbook – February 2015 Pages

This week is the March one-week school holidays for the kids in Singapore. I don’t know what I had been busy with, but the days just whizzed past and it’s already Wednesday!

Yesterday my sister brought her two daughters over to play with my younger son. The three kids played, made noise, laughed, cried, ate snacks and played more. My sister and I? We chatted, ate and laughed together.

I’m thankful that my only child had two older cousins who could play well with him. I’ve read and heard of stories of children who are the only child and they hardly have anyone to play with as their cousins are either older or younger, hence their playmates are normally their parents.

Okay, I’ve completed the Feburary pages for my Project Life scrapbook a few days ago.

There were a few events that happened in February – my son’s 4th birthday, Valentine’s Day, my uncle’s annual company lunch where he invited us siblings and our families to attend, and a visit to my good friend’s house.

Three Things I’ve Noticed about My Project Life Scrapbook

Firstly, I’ve taken more landscape photos to fit into the 4″x6″ photo pockets… but I’ve also taken many portrait photos which once again, I had to resize them into 3″x4″ photos.

Since I’m getting the hang of things, I don’t mind it as much. In fact, I’m beginning to see that it’s a good way to squeeze in more photos on a page, and wonderful for those times where I had nothing much to say but would leave a picture to bring back the memories. :)

Secondly, I’m still making a few errors when writing on the pre-designed journaling cards. One of them happened on one of the Title cards. I flipped over the Title card and used that side.

Thirdly, how simple I’m keeping my pages! Two days ago, I came across the Project Life pages of a mommy blogger where I saw her using her scrapbook supplies to embellish her page titles and such. Her pages are looking lovely with the added touches of pretty embellishments. Hmm… I don’t feel the urge to do any of these things for the moment.

I’ve set aside the photos we’ve taken over the Chinese New Year period which I’ll be creating pages for later. :)
